The base of the museum is the world’s largest collection of works by Karl Fabergé, which includes nine famous imperial Easter eggs. Also in the Museum is the collection of decorative arts created by Russian masters during the second half of the nineteenth century-early twentieth century. The Museum is located in the Shuvalov Palace on the Fontanka River. It is one of the most beautiful palaces of St. Petersburg.
