It is a museum of the great treasures of Russian princes, which was founded in the fourteenth century during the government of the Great Moscow Prince Ivan Kalita. From its founding until the eighteenth century the Armory collected weapons, objects of gold, silver, precious stones etc.
Decorative art objects were donated by foreign ambassadors, collection of arms, XIII-XVIII centuries, clothing, textiles, jewelry. Today at the Armory unique samples are exposed. In the halls of the Armory are the gold, silver, precious stones, ivory, porcelain. Clothes of the czars, decorated with pearls and precious stones, carriages and the famous Easter eggs of Carlo Faberge.
